  • 10-inch cast iron skillet

Ingredients

  • ½ cup light brown sugar packed
  • ¼ cup spiced dark rum
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter cut into fourths
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 3 bananas ripe; coin-sliced

Instructions

  • Heat the skillet over medium heat.
  • Combie the sugar, rum, water, cinnamon, salt, butter, and lemon juice and add it to the skillet.
  • Whisk frequently until the sugar has disolved, about 3-5 minutes.
  • Once the sugar has disolved and the sauce and thickend, add the bananas.
  • All the bananas to cook for up to 4 minutes without being disturbed.
  • Flip the bananas, making sure they are fully mixed into the sauce; continue cooking for up to 3 minutes.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Serve over vanilla ice cream and enjoy.
