Cast Iron Skillet Bacon Wrapped Pickles

Equipment

  • Cast iron baking pan
  • toothpicks

Ingredients

  • 32 oz dill pickle spears
  • 20 oz applewood smoked thick cut bacon

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 425°F
  • Wrap each pickle spear with a full slice of bacon.
  • Secure the bacon using toothpicks.
  • Place each wrapped spear on the baking pan.
  • Bake in oven for 25 minutes.
  • Turn oven to broil for 5 minutes until bacon is fully cooked and crisped.
  • Serve with your favorite dip or on their own.

Notes

32 oz. jars of pickles are hard to find, so we used 2-24 oz. jars and wrapped until we ran out of bacon. It was about a jar and a half. 
A skillet works for these pickles, but a 12" is too small, but a 15" will work.
